Odor removal

Озонирование салонаInterior ozonising is a good solution for removing unpleasant odours and to reduce the risk of spreading of the viruses, bacteria, mould and microorganisms.

Unpleasant odour in the car interior may spoil the mood of the car owner and passengers. There might be several reasons why the odour is not good: when temperature drops bacteria may start growing in the vaporiser of the air conditioner, milk dripping and other food may begin to spoil, also smoking and the smell of pets have its impact on the odour in the car. In these cases it is not enough that an aroma diffuser is placed in the interior – it dampens the odour but does not remove it.

For removing unpleasant odour from the car interior a special chemical cleaning with special chemical agents should be done. These chemicals will neutralise the initial pollution sources. After thorough cleaning of the car interior ozonising or photosynthesis are the most efficient means for removing odours.

Ozone is a powerful oxidiser and considering with the fact that it is gas it means that it also penetrates in the most difficult places, such as the gaps between the upholstery of the interior, seats and covers. Ozone decomposes many toxic substances, organic as well as inorganic, into simple and safe compounds, filling the car interior with the odour of fresh air, resembling the fresh smell of air after a thunderstorm.

Useful to know: for initial active cleaning of many unpleasant odours all interior parts must be previously cleaned with a 5% solution of vinegar and thereafter the car interior has to be left for airing for a couple of hours.

Some important points of upholstery cleaning:

  • Always start cleaning with the safest product to avoid damaging leather because of a too strong chemical. In case a milder product does not help, take a slightly stronger, but not the strongest from this product range.
  • Before you start cleaning investigate which is the best product to clean this particular leather type – is the top surface of the leather with opened or closed pores (smooth leather)? Has the dirt seized in the material or is it simply a spot on top of the surface? Or is it an oil spot or just a spot of unknown origin?
  • Regardless of the cleaning product you use, try it first on a small hidden area of the leather surface. And after you are convinced that the product does not harm the leather, first clean a small area and thereafter dry it with a hair drier set to a cool regime. But in case the product leaves stains on the surface or unexpected reaction processes take place in the material to be cleaned, an expert has to be consulted.
  • In case the top surface of the material absorbs water well, it has to be cleaned with minimum water. The entire procedure has to be carried out carefully by applying a washing agent and water evenly on the surface to avoid formation of stains and spots.
